INKTOBER 2020 DAY 8 – Tweety Bird

Who doesn’t love Tweety Bird? For me, his best moments are when Tweety makes that mischievous, evil glance. He is just like my chihuahua, Boo Boo. They both look so innocent but you know evil thoughts and plans are brewing in their brains. It is always the petite, loveable characters that you need to watch out for.

Tweety Bird was created by Created by Bob Clampett and debuted in the 1942 cartoon short, “A Tale of Two Kitties”. In the early years, the character’s name was Orson but he began going by Tweety in “Wacky Blackouts.” In 1945, Clampett decided to create the feline counterpart for Tweety, which would ultimately become Sylvester. Sylvester was introduced in the 1947 classic, “Tweetie Pie,” where he and Tweety first shuffled it out on the silver screen. After 1947, Sylvester was in every episode that included Tweety Bird. This classic pairing lead to the “Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries” series thirty years later. I loved that show!
