So, what happens next?

“Oh!, crud!”, exclaims Charmy. “My wallet was in the inside pocket!”

Charmy slowly looks over to the receptionist and grins sheepishly, “Do you take I.O.U.s?”

“No, but we give them”, says the receptionist as she returns the sheepish grin.

Suddenly a huge bouncer appears wearing a dark suit and sporting a fancy pair of sunglasses. As he positions himself into the camera shot, the room darkens a bit as his massive figure blots out the lights. The hulking figure spouts out in a graveling voice, “We give out “incredibly objectionable uppercuts. Let me hand you a few I.O.U.s”. Then the giant proceeds to crack his knuckles.

“Look, I can pay for dinner”, offers Charmy’s date.

“Oh, this is so expensive”, says Charmy. “I couldn’t ask you to do that”.

“Don’t be so old fashioned”, says his date as she draws her hands up onto her hips in resistance.

“Gee, you are so awesome”, remarks Charmy.

“Yes, I am. Besides, you are good for it”, informs the date. “Plus with my interest rate, I will make a nice little bonus when you pay me back”.

“We will have a table ready in about fifteen minutes,” says the receptionist.

Charmy’s date smiles and reacts with “Perfect! Gives me time to go powder my nose. I will be right back Charmy.”

After she is out of ear shot, the receptionist asks, “So… that was your friend who took your jacket, right? You had no intention of paying for your meal.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about”, Charmys says as he crosses his arm and flags his nose into the air arogently.

“All I know is that there never was a wallet”, the receptionist begs to differ. Your friend left me a note before all this nonsense occurred. The note states that he will need to meet you at noon tomorrow instead of eleven”.

“Stupid Alfred!”, Charmy snaps.

“Look, I have a great idea”, shares the receptionist. “How about you give me fifty bucks and I won’t say anything”.

“But I don’t have my wallet”, charmy informs the receptionist.

“Oh!, But I do accept I.O.U.s… Charmen Packy, stationed at Fort Hill in Troop 165”, says the receptionist.

“Alfred is so dead”, mumbles Charmy.
