Frenchy Reveals a Deep, Dark Secret in Today’s Comic Strip

Once again, I will reveal more about today’s story and expand the entertainment value of my work for my valued fans. I am taking a series of strips that tell a story about Frenchy reaching out to her deceased aunt, and I am adding more to the story between the strips! Read the blog below for more of today’s story.

So, what happens next?

“Wait, can they see us?”, asks Frenchy.

“If you are wondering if they know what we are doing… Yes, they do”, reveals the medium. “They watch over us all the time and tell all the other spirits what we are doing. It is their only form of entertainment”.

“Everything?”, asks Frenchy.

“Yes”, answers the medium. “Your aunt says she saw you this morning when you ate a donut from the trash”.

“Gross!” yells Charmy.

“It was a lemon-filled donut!” screams Frenchy. “You know I have an extreme weakness for lemon-filled donuts”.

“Nasty”, mumbles Charmy.

“It also had a sprinkling of coffee-flavored sprinkles”, adds Frenchy. “It was amazing!”

“Um, there is no such a thing as coffee-flavored sprinkles”, says Charmy. “That donut was just covered in coffee grounds because it was IN THE TRASH!”

“Okay, maybe that was a bit gross”, admits Frenchy. “…but it was still delicious”.

“Mister Medium, can you ask my Aunt not to tell her spirit friends about the garbage donut?”, asks Frenchy.

“My name is Herbert… and your aunt says it is too late”, says Herbert the Medium. “She says the spirits refer to you now as the Dumpster Donut Dame.”

“Herbert? Hebert the Medium. That is not a very marketable name”, says Charmy. “What is your full name?”

“My full name is Herbert LaPaul Large”, says Herbert LaPaul Large the Medium.

“Whoa! You should call yourself “The Medium Large!”, yells Charmy.

“Is this another joke about my physical size?”, asks Herbert.

“Heck, no!”, gasps Charmy. “If I did that, I would have called you ‘The Medium Extra Large’!”

“Holy macca noodle”, shrugs Frenchy as she once again drops her face into her hands in embarrassment.

And this ends this story for good. Next week, we will celebrate Weaver’s birthday!!!! Stay TOON’ed!!!

Hill Country Comicon

Next weekend, I will be in New Braunfels, Texas at the Hill Country Comicon. I have made an appearance here every year since the first show three years ago. Centered in the magical Texas Hill Country, this show screams “home” to me. I am a proud, native Texan. The beauty and rich culture scattered across the Texas Hill Country makes me realize how blessed I am to have been raised in such an amazing state in this grand, free country of ours.

There are a few professional animators at the show this year. I wanted to get a comic book from Charmy’s Army into their hands, but I am sold out. My last show appearance was in Freeport, Texas where my comic strip runs in the local paper, so I sold out of everything that featured my ants. Printing prices right now are insane, so I cannot reprint them. They cost more to make than I sell them for! The supply chain issues are shutting me down,

This will be the first show I have done without my wife in over a year. She has to work next weekend so I am flying solo. I am actually scared to death. I am extremely shy. I know that I do not appear that way, but I am. I hate doing these shows alone. Between show days, I sleep. After I eat, I will go up to my room around 6:00 pm, shower, and then go to bed and sleep until 6:00 am the next day. I do not like to do things by myself. There will be a buffet at the hotel for the show guests and I will more than likely duck and hide in my room.

The good news is I will catch up on some much-needed rest next weekend!

If you are going to be at the show next weekend, please stop by and watch my panel at noon in Panel Room B. I will be discussing the world of independent comic creators. I will be telling everyone how I have done everything wrong in my attempt to make some sort of a career out of my dream. Learn from my millions of mistakes!
